Our Vision and Mission here at Calvary Marysville is to partner with God in His work of restoring sin-broken lives back into God's original design for humanity. Therefore, we emphasize the message and teachings of Jesus through regular Bible study, gospel proclamation, prayer, fellowship and outreach.
*When we proclaim and consider the gospel together in community, we are reminded of God's love that has been displayed in the Person and work of Jesus.
*When we study the Bible together in community, we allow God to guide and instruct us how to live in a way that honors and glorifies Him.
*When we pray together in community, we participate in God's work of restoring the lives of other people as well as our own.
*When we socialize and fellowship with other believers in Christ, we form deeper connections with each other that strengthen and benefit us all.
*When we reach out to our community through works of service, we invite others to know the love of God and life restoration that comes through Jesus.
Our Core Values:
*Love: We value love, therefore we desire to operate in true and genuine love in everything we do. Jesus defined love as sacrificial and laying down one's life for each another. We commit to being loving as described in 1 John 4:7-11 "Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another."
*Truth: We value truth, therefore we desire to operate in truth in everything we do. Sin and rebellion against God ruins lives. We are not afraid to call out sin and patterns of behavior that lead to continued chaos and dysfunction in people's lives. We commit to being truthful as described in Ephesians 4:25 "Therefore, putting away lying, Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another."
*Community: We value community, therefore we desire to operate in unity with each other in everything we do. We desire to accept and embrace all people, regardless of their race, gender, social status, age, nationality or language. We commit to living in community as described in Romans 12:4-5 "For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."
"Everything we do as a church filters through the vision of 'restoring lives through Jesus'!"
